Romantic Getaway Packing List

The weather is warm, and it's time to travel and enjoy some one-on-one time. But packing for me always seems to be a considerable task. Among planning and making reservations, packing takes a lot of my time.

So if you are ready to enjoy the outdoors and get away with your partner, here are things that you should add to your usual list of items.

I love using a suitcase that can fit most of my things, but I always bring along a tote or backpack to carry personal items. One of those unique items in my tote is a scarf. There are so many uses for a scarf. One way is being used as a light blanket. When flying, it's a quick way to stay warm on those cold flights. Also, I usually wear my hair down, so this is a quick way I can tie or pull my hair back. More personal items you will want to add is a change of clothes (this is perfect if your luggage ever gets lost).

Add dry shampoo to your toiletries. I've noticed we lose track of time during our afternoon activities; I have a short time getting ready for the evening. I don't know how many times dry shampoo has saved time I didn't have. That should be a must.

Bring a light sweater or a cardigan for chilly nights. You may not need it, but it's always better to be prepared than not, along with a pair of leggings or sweats.

Now for the romantic part of packing,

Massage oil and make sure it's in a 3oz bottle per TSA rules(if flying). A candle in a tin can and rose petals (silk). Bring your favorite nightgown or buy a new nightgown just for this getaway. Bring a small throw blanket; you may want to sit and take in a romantic view. This is one of those moments you would rather be prepared than not. Remember that tote/backpack; put this throw blanket in there.
